In your Account field, choose which bank or credit card account you want to reconcile. The Statement Date is automatically filled in.

Candice C RE: If you’re unable to correct the balance to reconcile correctly, I suggest working with your accountant on guidance for this problem. The issue at hand is that QuickBooks doesn’t accept a negative number for this customer. That doesn’t make any sense either. I’d be happy to assist you further. Note: Avoid downloading the entries to one account. When I go into the Credit Card reconciliation, I enter the account, statement date, ending balance, and finance charge, date and account.
